Acheivements

Katherine Johnson worked for NASA for 30 years and has received many accomplishments and awards such as:

• Received a Silver Snoopy award (often called the astronaut's award), NASA stated it is given to those "who have made outstanding contributions to flight safety and mission success".

• Received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015.

• Two NASA facilities have been named in her honor.

• Cited as a pioneering example of African-American women in STEM.

• Inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame in 2021.
